![]() Hmm, I thought - that must be a feature for gurus like Selig. There it was staring at me from the SSL - "Control Room Out". Ideally IMO there should be a 'mastering' section in Reason, AFTER the output of the console but before the Hardware Interface (that's basically how I have things setup, but it's a little clunky).Īnyway, I'm not holding my breath for these things to change in Reason! To that end they SHOULD be located in the Hardware Interface section and not in the console, only because of the way things are setup in Reason. If they want to mimic how a REAL console works, then we SHOULD have some of these options (like the ability to listen to sends and returns, as well as aux inputs from other software to compare mixes), and they should NOT affect how the export sounds in any way. Instead of the CR volume, I use the volume control on my interface, or my Central Station or DigiDesign X-Mon (Icon) volume control when working at other studios, so I've never needed the Control Room output. No console feeds the 'two track' recorders (the export in this case) THROUGH the speaker volume control… ![]() ![]() ![]() Yes, and that's why I don't use this option - too many ways for things to bite you in the ass!!! If you hook it up to the audio output, though, doesn't it end up being the signal that gets exported to audio when you're done, instead of the master? ![]()
